Tip: Oil the clay chip. A chip treated with oil appears much more colorful and gives a much more pleasant feeling in the hand when playing. They are also easier to mix, stack and sound better. Rub each chip individually with a paper or microfiber cloth lightly soaked in oil. Make sure that the chip is evenly covered with oil and allow it to soak in for one to two minutes. Then rub off the excess oil with a second cloth.
