6 Position ChipsIn many board games from the connoisseur and expert game range, there are variable starting players or completely variable player orders. The latter can be realized in two ways: either via an order track on the game board or by giving each player a marker with his position. The solution with markers has two advantages. On the one hand, the back of the marker can still encode a status such as "can still be claimed in this round". Secondly, everyone then has "their" position directly in front of them, which reduces the risk of someone not realizing that it is actually their turn.
A set consists of 6 chips (43mm diameter) with the positions from 1 to 6, i.e. it is suitable for up to six players. The reverse side is designed slightly differently so that it can be used as an "inactive side" (or similar) if required. The #1 chip can also be used as an improved starting player marker.
These position chips can also be used to play games that normally continue clockwise from a variable starting player in a completely variable order instead. This avoids the starting player's left neighbor gaining an advantage and the right neighbor a disadvantage without any action on his part. In the game "In the Footsteps of Marco Polo", for example, you can determine the complete order of play according to the travel order (and not just the starting player as the one who traveled last). This is particularly important in games like this, where the starting player can remain the starting player almost permanently if they so wish.
